Our mission is to create a space where people can strengthen their mental health, work through challenges, and build the skills that lead to lasting change.

We want you to feel better, not just temporarily, but sustainably. That means addressing the immediate struggle while building long-term skills. Creating change that lasts beyond therapy.

You deserve support that actually helps. Let's build it together.

How We Began

The Problem I Kept Seeing

Mental health struggles are common, but good mental health support isn't always accessible or practical. Many people try therapy and don't get the results they hoped for. Not because therapy doesn't work, but because the approach didn't fit their specific needs.

I watched people quit therapy feeling like it was just talking without progress. I saw couples get stuck in the same conflicts because they never learned different communication tools. I saw athletes and professionals suffer silently because therapists didn't understand the unique pressures they faced. And I saw people struggle with anxiety and depression for years without learning the practical skills that could help.

My Path to Specialization

I started with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. That gave me the clinical foundation—how to assess, diagnose, and treat anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions using evidence-based methods.

But I wanted deeper expertise in working with people facing pressure and performance demands. So I earned my Doctorate in Sport & Performance Psychology from the University of Western States. This training gave me specialized tools for competition anxiety, mental blocks, high-pressure situations, and the psychological challenges unique to athletes and performers.

Building a Team

As the practice grew, it became clear that bringing in additional clinicians with complementary expertise would allow us to serve more people with the specialized care they deserve. I wanted to build a team where every clinician shares the same commitment to practical, evidence-based work while bringing their own unique strengths and perspectives.

That's how LS Performance Mental Health Counseling became what it is today—a practice where you can find the right fit for your specific needs.
